Bro. Moffitt was saved at the age of 12 and got assurance of his salvation in 1967. He was encouraged by Bro. Hyles to attend Bible college at Hyles-Anderson College. Bro. Moffitt went through many trials while in college but was able to graduate in 1978. Bro. Moffitt has served on staff at First Baptist Church for the last 40 years. He is the care pastor. He visits those in the hospitals and nursing homes, as well as those who are ill at home. He is also in charge of the Fishermen’s Club, a men’s soul-winning group; and he teaches the Friendly Fellowship Adult Sunday School Class. Bro. Moffitt has been married to his wife JoJo since February 1965. They have six children: Tina, Roy Jr., Michael, Jason, Justin, and Joy. They also have nine grandchildren.

The conference had so many special times with so many special people. We are thankful for the music, the new coffee shop, the hostesses that worked tirelessly the entire conference. Mrs. Wilkerson challenged us with her thoughts on F.I.R.S.T and then to make and keep our promise to "Do Right, Every Day, On Purpose."
