Hammond, Indiana— Steve Curington, founder of Reformers Unanimous International, to speak at First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana. Reformers Unanimous has 550 chapters and has helped 15,000 people each week in the United States and in six foreign countries conquer their addictions. Steve himself is a former addict. He had the perfect upbringing—he attended church with his family nearly every Sunday, and graduated from a Christian school. However, within two years after graduation, he was addicted to cocaine and alcohol.

At the age of 28, he nearly died in a drunk driving accident. With a punctured lung and quickly drowning in his own blood, he cried out to God, “I don’t want to die!” Three months later he stepped back into the church where he had worshipped as a child. That is when God began to change his life. God has used him to start Reformers Unanimous, a faith-based addiction program.

The public is invited to hear this inspirational story. Every guest (age 18 and older) will receive a free copy of Steve Curington’s book, Tall Law! The services will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday, October 7, 2007, in the main auditorium of First Baptist Church which is located at 473 Sibley Street, in Hammond, Indiana.
