Shoot Straight Sportmen's Show

Hammond, Indiana—This Sportsmen’s Show, sponsored by the Hammond Initiative, will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Jean Shepherd Community Center.

Chad Schearer, host of the Shoot Straight television program, will be the featured speaker. Chad wears several hats in the outdoor industry. Chad’s work and photos have been published in outdoor magazines, including Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, American Hunter, and Peterson Hunting. Chad conducts over 50 seminars a year at sports shows, Cabela’s stores, and sportmen’s dinners. He is a world-champion game caller and is also an expert black-powder hunter.

This event is free to the public. There will be an all-you-can-eat-meat feast for only $7 per person; tickets may be purchased at the door. There will be a kids’ section with fun and games for young sportsmen. Over 20 vendors will be present with a variety of hunting, fishing, and outdoor displays and bow tuning by Cabela’s. Door prizes include a CVA muzzleloader, chartered fly-fishing tours, rod-and-reel packages, and much more!

Doors open at 4 p.m. at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 Mahoney Drive, Hammond, Indiana. The all-you-can-eat meat feast will start at 5:30 p.m., and Chad Schearer’s presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
