First Baptist Church Remembering Tenth Anniversary of 9/11

September 2, 2011

Hammond, IN-First Baptist Church is proud to commemorate September 11, 2011, with a ten year anniversary service. We will be remembering those who have lost their lives and will have U.S. Representative Mike Pence as our guest speaker.

Mike Pence is a lifelong Hoosier, born and raised in Columbus, Indiana. He was first elected to Congress in 2000 and was most recently elected to a sixth term in November of 2010, representing more than 650,000 Hoosiers in 19 counties in eastern Indiana. Mr. Pence describes himself as "a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order." Mike and his wife Karen have been married for 26 years; live in Columbus, Indiana; and reside in the greater Washington, D.C., area when Congress is in session. Mr. Pence just announced that he will be running for governor of Indiana in 2012.

Mike Pence will be at First Baptist to talk about his description of the fatal attack on September 11, 2011, while on Capitol Hill.

The service time will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, September 11. Everyone is invited to attend this event to hear his incredible story on what he saw transpire on that historic day in our country.
