Loss of a Student - Hammond Baptist Junior High

Schererville, IN - Funeral arrangements have been made for Michael "Wayne" Maxey, a 6th grader at Hammond Baptist Junior High. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009, and the funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Jack Hyles Memorial Auditorium located at First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana.
Most of the classmates of Wayne described him as "fun-loving," and he most always had a smile. Wayne was a good boy who was well liked and respected by his teachers and classmates.
Grade school and junior high school teachers and the principal, along with Dr. Johnny Colsten and Dr. Jack Schaap, will eulogize the student. The Hammond Baptist Junior High Choir, long with the Junior High Orchestra, will be performing at the Home going service.
ATTENTION, PRESS: Members of the press are permitted on site for the viewing hours as well as the funeral. You will be restricted to the back of the auditorium during the funeral and visitation.
