First Baptist Church Ministries Children's Ward
December 3, 2009
Hammond, Indiana — Each year, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, tries to find unique ways to bring hope during the holiday season. On Monday, December 7, a few ministries from First Baptist Church will be visiting Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p. m., the ministries will be bringing gifts to each child, and a singing group from Hyles-Anderson College will be singing with the children and will be bringing a book to give to each family that attends. The book "The Oak Tree and the Tumbleweed," which was written by Dr. Ray Young, president of Hyles-Anderson College, will be given to the families.
It will be a heartwarming time as well as a time that the children and their families can cherish through the holiday season, no matter how difficult it may be.
For any questions about the event or for additional information, please call 615-481-9522. We would really like for any media that is available to be a part of this with us.
