2nd Annual Kids' Conference

August 14, 2009

Hammond, Indiana (August 29 & 30)—Saturday, August 29, will mark the second annual Power Club Kids' Conference hosted by First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. America's 15th largest church is turning from its traditional approach to Vacation Bible School and providing an all-inclusive conference experience to Northwest Indiana's children. This two-day conference will pull nearly 2,700 kids from age four through sixth grade. All children in this age group from the region are encouraged to attend.

The theme for this year's event is "Lost Treasures." The children will learn about different countries as well as their own community. They will also be challenged to go around the corner and around the world to tell people about Christ.

The Power Club Conference 2009 speaker will be one of the most well-recognized pastors in this country, Dr. Jack Schaap. Also speaking will be the children's pastor of First Baptist Church, Andrew Scheltens, who on a weekly basis teaches and preaches to 1,000 kids.

Along with these speakers there will be hilarious adventure skits, exciting Bible lessons, and singing. Saturday's events will include several carnival events such as giant inflatables, rock climbing wall, ring toss, dunking tank, face painting, and many others.

In addition to Saturday's events, on Sunday, August 30, there will be a special and exciting children's service with Pastor Schaap. There will be a prize spinning wheel, special prize drawing, skits, and a giant children's choir that will consist of all children at the conference.

The conference will be free to the public. To register your children, please go to www.fbchammond.com or call 219-932-0711. The conference will start Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. For more information, call 219-932-0711 and ask for Andrew Scheltens, or go to www.fbchammond.com.
