Largest Youth Conference in the Midwest

Hammond, Indiana (July 15-17)—Wednesday, July 15, will mark the 37th Annual International Youth Conference hosted by First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. This three-day conference will pull nearly 7,000 teenagers and youth workers from around the world to Northwest Indiana.
The theme for this year's event is "Be the One." This vast group of teenagers will be challenged to "Be the One" to make a difference, to take a stand, and to take responsibility for their own future.
Youth Conference 2009 boasts some of the most in-demand youth speakers in the U.S., such as Jack Schaap, Eddie Lapina, Reno Likins, and Scott Gray. There will be over 15 speakers total. There will also be sessions geared toward the post-teen years in the Singles Conference. Along with great speakers there will be hilarious skits and many activities for the youths to enjoy, such as 3-on-3 basketball, dodgeball, and paintball tournaments.
In addition to the full schedule, First Baptist Church has added a Bus Demolition Derby at the Illiana Speedway in Schereville on Thursday, the 16th, at 5 p.m., with fireworks and patriotic music to follow at Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point to close out the night.
The conference will be free to the public Wednesday evening. Those registering for the week may do so on Wednesday, beginning at 4 p.m. The cost of registration is $55.00 per person.
