Dr. Jack Schaap is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hammond. Under his leadership, the First Baptist Church has doubled in growth in the past four years. He is the author of many books, including one on church growth. First Baptist Church is recognized by Outreach Magazine as one of the 50 most influential churches in America and is listed among the fastest growing churches in America.

Dr. Johnny Colsten
Associate Pastor
Dr. Johnny Colsten is an associate pastor. He has been on the church staff for over 42 years and has been serving as associate pastor for the last 30 of those years. He oversees the hospital visitations.
Dr. Eddie Lapina
Administrative Pastor
Dr. Eddie Lapina is the administrative pastor. He is also the youth coordinator of five different youth groups, which average over 1,500 teenagers weekly. He cohosts our annual international Youth Conference, which had over 10,000 delegates in attendance in 2006. He has been involved in youth work for over 25 years.
Dr. Roy Moffitt
Associate Pastor
Dr. Roy Moffitt is an associate pastor. He assists with the hospital visitations and visitor follow-ups. He teaches the Friendly Fellowship Sunday School Class and oversees the Fishermen's Club and the Aaron and Hur Ministry.
Jack Mitchell
Executive Assistant
Jack Mitchell is the pastor's executive assistant. He has attended First Baptist Church for over 28 years. He has been the teacher of the Foundations Sunday School Class for three years. He and his wife, Sarah, enjoy being involved in the music program at the church.
